A research study is the scientific term for the process of collecting and analyzing information to learn something about a particular topic.
The goal of the PROMOTE Study is to improve a quality of life survey for women with endometrial cancer. This study may help us better understand how women from many different backgrounds are experiencing endometrial cancer.
Knowledge around a patient’s experience of their cancer and its treatment is usually gathered with a survey. However, the survey used for endometrial cancer was developed in populations that were not very diverse. PROMOTE can potentially improve a clinically meaningful survey that impacts how doctors treat patients and reflects the symptoms and concerns identified as most important to women from many different backgrounds.
The PROMOTE Study team includes clinicians, researchers, administrators, and community organizers from institutions and organizations nationwide.
